IFO — Major streets in Ifo metropolis came alive on Friday as supporters of the YAYI-ADJ Nation Support Group staged a mega awareness rally in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The rally, which commenced from the constituency office of former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo, attracted APC supporters, party faithful and members of the YAYI-ADJ support group.
Participants marched through parts of Ifo, displaying campaign materials and chanting solidarity songs in support of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), the APC governorship candidate in Ogun State, and Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye (ADJ), the party’s candidate for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency.
Speaking during the rally, Adeleye thanked supporters for the turnout and described Senator Adeola as a development-oriented candidate capable of contributing to the future development of Ogun State.
She called on residents and APC supporters to remain united and support the party’s candidates across the various elective positions, from the presidency to the National Assembly and the Ogun State House of Assembly.
Also speaking, former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo, reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and said his support for the party remained unwavering.
Oluomo described the YAYI-ADJ Nation movement as an important grassroots mobilisation platform in Ifo and urged members to continue working together with discipline, loyalty and dedication.
The Director-General of the YAYI-ADJ Nation Support Group, Ogbeni Kolawole Isola, said the rally was organised to strengthen grassroots engagement and create an avenue for supporters to connect directly with residents.
Isola said the turnout at the rally reflected the group’s determination to remain actively involved in the political process and mobilise support for the APC and its candidates.
The organisers had described the event as a “Mega Awareness Rally”, calling on supporters and members of the APC to participate in the mobilisation exercise.
The group subsequently reiterated its support for Senator Adeola, Hon. Adeleye and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
